Was in the cafe today (13th December) and as usual was very busy. Very impressed with two staff in particular who were clearing tables so quickly and constantly looking out for dishes on occupied tables that could be cleared. So often people are moving dirty dishes on to clean tables to make space limiting clean tables but today there were loads of nice clean tables.
This wasn’t always the case I have seen staff walking past dirty tables with a trolley and lifting one cup and plate then moving on these two today were so quick and constantly cleaning and clearing you know who you are because I said thank you ☺️

I was refused access to the self-service scan-and-shop tills simply because I had a trolley, even though several of the tills were empty. It made absolutely no sense! Frustrated, I left my trolley in front of the staff member who denied me access, took my bag, and paid as usual. The alternative was to rejoin a massive queue at the checkout, which I wasn’t willing to do.

This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues paying at this store, but this experience was a new low. I must admit, it was oddly satisfying watching the same staff member have to wheel my abandoned trolley out of the store.

If you want a hassle-free shopping experience, it’s best to avoid this M&S—they seem to go out of their way to make paying inconvenient!

The shop is always very clean and tidy. All labels are perfectly readable. They have their own brands but you can find good bargain for clothes and underwear. There's a food hall including wines and vegetables. Huge free car park. The shop is inside the Gyle shopping centre which is full of very nice shops.
I recently visited the Food Hall and I must say shelves are amazingly organised,clean and tidy and you can find high quality products which is not easy to find everywhere anymore. 5 stars for the Food Hall team well deserved.

Easy to get a car parking place, then straight into the shop, change some clothing items which were the wrong size. Also bought more clothes. Friendly staff, very helpful too. Paid by credit card.

I have never had such bad experience with customer service. I bought a pair of school shoes for my daughter 2 weeks ago. Today she came from school with one of her shoe almost completely separated from the sole. My partner went there to complain and to get them exchanged, however the lady at the customer service refused as there was no sticker at the bottom of the shoe! Can you imagine the audacity! Apparently she consulted with the manager and refused to get them exchanged. Honestly I'm disgusted with their approach. Will never buy shoes from them again and will advice the same to my family and friends.
